Im embarking on my first proper coco run. Bulls has very kindly offered to mentor me on this one. Not many guys who know the strain and set up as well as this guy so im very excited. Ill be doing exactly as im told for the duration. Strain is the ever faithful UK Exo. Its been a while since i was in a decent size tent with HID so ill need all the help i can get.

A fast finishing, nice yielding very potent strain that Bulls has worked with for a long time and got growing it down to a art.

Kit

1.2 x 1.2 x 2.2m epics grow tent.
4 x 10 liter airpots.
Essentials PH/EC pens.
600w dimmable digital ballast (omega).
250w, 400w, 600w dual spec sunmaster hps bulbs.
Goldstar xxl cool hood.
150mm combi ducting to connect it all up.
150mm L1 systemair rvk fan for extracion.
150mm x 600mm Rhino pro carbon filter.
12 inch oscillating fan.
2 x garland trays for runoff.
25 liter bucket for mixing nutes.
Air pump to keep nutrient solution oxygenated.
PH calibration fluid.

Nutes

Canna coco A and B.
Rhizotonic.
Great white rooting powder.
Liquid silicone.
Canna PK 13/14.
Hammer head 4/10.
Plant magic mag n cal.
If im missing anything im sure Bulls will be in to shout at me and ill update .

Thats it, ive been rooting 4 Exo cuts, they are in verve multipurpose compost, depending on when everything is delivered they may go from starter pots to 5 inch pots in verve compost and be transplanted to the 10 liter coco pots.

Im still waiting on some items to arrive for this but 4 cuts have rooted and are re-vegging. I moved them from starter pots to 5 inch pots to buy me a week or so until everything turns up. Ive given em a good dusting of Great White rooting powder. The light is now at 400w. Next update will be when they go into coco.

Update

Most of my bits are now here so today I potted the exo up into 10 litre air pots into coco. Sprinkled some Great white rooting powder in the holes.





I followed Bulls instructions to the letter, feed mixed at:

10ml liquid silicon
40ml rhizzo
10ml A
10ml B

Knocked up 20 litres and set to 5.7 PH. Fed 2 litres to each plant.

Ive followed my insrructions, one day feed and one day off for first few days. EC pen arrived, the mix Bulls said to mix up is at 1.2ec bacground ec is.0.7.

I put 3 liters of feed through them yesterday and have refilled my res tonight with a fresh 20 luters of water bubbling away for tomorrow nighht.

Ill await instructions for that feed.







All but one have re vegged. Temps 24-26c constant rh 50%.

2 liters through eash, a decent amount of run off too.

Ive been flowing Bulls instructions. We have set EC to 5.6 and working with a ratio of 1ml A and B per liter, 1ml silicone per liter and 2ml rhizzo per liter. This has come out at 1.3 EC. Ive also given them 2 soakings of plant magic magncal at 2ml per liter. Its doesnt seem to be doing the job of actual epsom salts so ive got some ordered and they will be getting another go with that. Im following Bulls to the finest detail, this includes training, its different from what i do but i havent had a good grow in a while and Bulls rather annoyingly hasnt had a bad one since he started :D.

Ive used pipe cleaners to tie them down, one is still a little slow on the re veg but getting there. Ive got em nice and low as you will see. Im enjoying everything so far barring the PH dosing, the pen has nearly bounced off the bedroom wall a couple of times but ill get there in the end .

Afternnon GR420, the epsom salts seems to have done the trick. They are recovering from the beating too. 1 plant is still in re-veg so a little behind, ill continue to shape as they grow. Ive followed Bulls feed, 1.1 ec 5.8 ph 2 nights ago, 1.1 ec 5.7 ph last night, should be going 5.6ph tonight with 1.1ec but ill wait for Bulls to see pics first. Im enjoying this run so far, still messing with ph each night but ill get that soon enough.

The vid and pics below are from yesterday. I had starting knocking up before Bulls message above, and added the silicone, i spoke to Bulls and he said thats fine. They will be getting a re shape today.

Im still giving each plant 2 liters of feed, getting nice runoff with that.

Ive dropped silicone for this batch will be 2 days, ill await Bully to see what to to for the next feed. The plant in the front right of tent took a lifetime to re veg so is slightly behind the other 3.

Wassup Groom. They are starting to fill out. Bulls training method defo faster than mine, not topped once and got loads of tops shooting up. Im amazed at the rate of growth in coco. Still feeding 2 liters per plant, getting back about 6 liters. She got a foliar feed of epsom salts a couple of days ago at 1 teaspoon per liter.

Feed consists of 2ml rhizzo per liter and then made up to 1.0 with a and B. Ill await instructions from Bulls for next batch.

I gave these some slight LST a couple of days ago, im doing exactly as Bulls says through every step. Ill now be squeezing the outside tops to allow the middle tops to catch up. Ive now swithed to 600w, temps are stitting at 26c, i have been using a passive intake up to this point, today ill be adding a A1 rvk attached to an old 150mm/600mm rhino pr to make sure no dust or other nasties get into the tent in flower.

Im still feeding 2 liters per 10 liter pot.

Made up of 0.5ml silicone, 2ml rhizzo per liter, then made up to 1.2 which is about 14,l of both A and B.

Update

Evening Groom, i appear to be having some issues. This problem started about 2 weeks ago on a couple of leaves, they were older ones so i just removed as i was training, the issue came back on a few, the plants were lighter in colour so we upped fee from 1.2-1.4, they have now have 2 days of 1.4 and the issue is still spreading. Its not effecting newswest growth, but not the oldest either. Temps are 26c lights on 24/0, rh between 50-60%. I have good airfow. Feed consists of 0.5ml per liter silicone, 2ml per liter rhizzo then made up to 1.4 with canna coco A and B. The plants are in 10 liter airpots, im feeding 2 liters to each, so 8 in total and getting back 4-6 liters of runoff.

I done a runoff reading today.

Sorry for delay in replying guys, i have read the replies and done as directed, thanks for your help.

I flushed 40 liters through each pot followed by 3 liters of feed at 1.0ec 5.8ph. My calmag has just turnt up so ill be giving them a good soaking later today at 2ml per liter for 2 days as instructed by Bulls. Ive also upgraded my intake from passive to a a1 150mm rvk pulling through an old 150mm x 600mm rhino filter. The burn has continu3d slightly in the 2 days after flush but has slowed/stopped i think now. Ill be removing some growth today. Also ill be flipping tonight/tomorrow.

Update

The burn seemed to slow/stop after the flush, we then hit her with a calmag spray 2 days in a row at 2ml per liter (vitalink) and she burnt up again. This now seems to have slowed/stopped. One of the things that has come up is that my background ec may have some heavy shite in it, Bulls knows the strain like the back of his hand so what we are doing should be fine. Im going to look into this as anyone that knows my GLP grow will know i had a lot of help from very experienced guys and the issue with that was put down to genetics, given the run of disasters ive had of late it could be something that needs looking into properly. Im going to look to get some ro water for now if the the problem persists.

Anyone just wanna grow for me ffs :D. Was kinda hoping my plant killing reputation would do one with the new forum, but the canna gods are as usual pissing all over me, or in my water supply at least

Flipped 3 days ago.

Right, Ive spoken to the Bully and he has instructed me to up PH to 6.2, EC to 1.2, bang 5 liters through the bitches so thats where im at. The pictures below are from before that feed went through em (today) and ive also leveled em out a bit, ill get another vid tomorrow so you can see em as they are now. Im gonna try get my hands on the omina stuff and some yukka extract. If all else fails ill just buy some RO water.

A quick update

Feed still at 1.2, PH 6.2. I think they have darkened up a bit in the 2 days since introducing this higher feed.

Omina is here, just added 1 tsp to my res, 65 liters in total. Ill monitor EC to see if it changes anything, in future ill add omina before anything else goes in, i had 3 days left of feed this time.

Day 3 at 1.2/6.2 and they are darkening up. This is the beauty of a forum, if I wasn't on here and attempted coco I would never have diagnosed a water issue, so big thanks guys!

As for coco, I'm in love , the growth rate is mad, I was soil for a long time as most of you know, tbh the idea of pH and EC boggled my brain, but since you're doing it all, it really is simple.

I added the omina, yukka is yet to arrive.

Day 7 12/12

Day 3 of 6.2/1.2 and day 2 of omina. I think we sussed it. They are getting a bit of stretch on, nothing drastic. Im trying to keep em level as they go.




Yukka extract turned up today, added 1 tsp to my res.

Day 10 flower. 6.1ph 1.2ec.

I've introduced PK 13/14 at 0.25 per litre. They have continued to darken. I can't stop looking in my tent . As most of you know I've been stuck I wardrobes and small tents for a while, these are the biggest plants I've had for this stage of growth.

I'm setting up a drip feed system tomorrow, while I've got them out I'll be stripping lower growth, thinning out the top a bit and giving em a cal-mag spray. Also adding some stakes for support.

I'll get some pics up once I have done all of this.

Ive set up a DIY dripper system. Copied Bulls . Works a treat. This now means i only need to unzip the bottom 2 foot of my middle front zip to feed and collect run off. This strain stinks so less time with tent open the better now im in flower.


















Also my Hammerhead arrived . Today ive stripped the lower growth, added stakes for support and givenema final cal mag foliar feed, with a bit of luck i shouldnt need to get them out of the rent again.

Sorry guys, been busy busy. The omina and yukka have worked a treat. Currently 16 days of flower. They have got a bit of stretch on, nothing massive. Ive been feeding pk 13/14 for a week and a half. My next 80 liters will be k ocked up tomorrow, ill be trading tbe pk for hammerhead 4/10.

We are now at 1.3ec and 6.2ph, we did drop to 6.1 for a couple days but i think they are happier at 6.2, Bulls will have to fill you in on that though.

1tsp omina, 1 tsp yukka, hammerhead, coco a and b. A couple of pics below, ill get a vid sorted tomorrow with better pics.

Day 21 flower

Followed bulls instructions, 6.2pH, 1.2ec. Dropped the omina and raw and now at 40ml hammerhead per 80 litre mix.

Also gonna wack the light up to 660w next lights in. I'm using 20 litres through all 4 of them with the dripper, so 5l each.

Noticed some new purple patches, ive done runoff readings which show they are eating, i thinktbeplan isto upfeed at ph again, ill wait for bulls for exact numbers.

I've been following Bulls instructions, 1.4ec and 6.3ph. We have stopped the omina and yukka.

Currently using 0.5ml per litre hammerhead then making up ec with wanna coco a and b.

I got some slight yellowing directly under light so moved it up.




Day 32 flower.

I've cleared some leaves as ask to by Bulls, although I'm probably gonna get shouted at coz it ain't enough lol.

Light been on 660w for about a week. Feeding 5 liters a day.

Mid flower flush complete, 140 liters through the 4.

Feed at 1.4ec, 0.5ml per litre of hammerhead then made up with canna coco a and b. PH at 6.3. Temps 24c lights on, 20c lights off, RH at 50%.

Well guys, they still alive lol. Don't worry I'll add some bleach if they are still ok in a week, I have a reputation to keep after all.

I made up, it's been a long time since I had a groom like this. They are stinking like I've never known a plant could, my last exo run was tiny compared to this, I've grown my share of strains but nothing comes close to UK Chedda for stink, it's brutal. Fingers crossed but I think things are good for now.

With Bulls drip system and my carpet cleaner to suck runoff out it's so easy too.

I got a bit of light burn directly under the light, I've moved it up a bit.

Week 5 flower.

We have upped the hammerhead to 1ml per litre, the rest is a and b. Since moving the light up the yellowing has stopped. I stripped some growth which uncovered a few more tops.they have continued to stretch a bit, but still nice and tight.

Day 39

We dropped the EC by 0.1. I've got some of that purple shit back, not loads so I think we gonna be ok. Temps 24c lights on 20c lights off, humidity around 55%.

Ec 1.3, hammerhead at 1ml per litre, made up with canna coco a and b.

Ph still at 6.3.

They seem to be bulking out a bit now, the stank is getting brutal, if hand feeding I would have an issue with smell with tent open for that long.

My bloody rhino pro has a smell leak. It can't be anything else as I'm blowing through the ducting and hood. Not bloody happy as it was used for 2 weeks prior to this grow. I think I'll be getting a vipar to replace it.

Day 36 flower.

They seem to be packing on weight. Ive noticed a few burnt tips so I've dropped down 0.1ec untill Bulls is back as a precaution. Video coming later.

Day 41. Be going 11 weeks with him here so still a while to go.



Day 42

A backedvec down by 0.1 to 1.3 for the last 4 days in back on 1.4 for the next 4 days. Ph 6.3.

I'll be running them just over 11 weeks so flush starts in exactly 2 weeks and will continue for 2 weeks.

Temps 24c lights on 20c light off. Th 50-60%. I keep thinking they are behind, bulls will know more when he back. Still 4 weeks to go.

Day 53 flower

I've spoken to Bully and we have dropped ec to 1.1. Im planning on running these 11 weeks so still over 3 weeks to go, i think we doing a 2 week flush?

They have starting to pack on some size this last week, the smell is fooking brutal on these at this stage. I think I'm over the hill now as not long till flush. Feed is 1ml hammerhead then canna coco a and b. Temps 24c lights on, 20c lights off, rh at 50-60%, I'm dragging air directly from outside so can't get it lower atm.

Day 56,

I knocked up the last batch of feed yesterday, flush starts Wednesday.a full 2 weeks as per bulls instruction. What a pleasure this grow has been, I needed a decent one. Next update coming week 9.

Day 63

5 days into flush now. They are starting to get rock solid, the smell is scary. All I've done is thank Bulls throughout this diary and it's not gonna stop lol. I needed a decent grow under my belt, plagued with issues my confidence was in tatters, this grow has put the wind back in my sails. Thank you mate!

9 days left on the flush, feeding plain in ph'ed water left to sit for 24 hours. Mon the chop!
