I would say they are nowhere near finish buddy. Some strains produce orange hairs early in veg but can take a while to finish. I would say if they were seedlings on 24th of february then they will be finished about the week commencing 26th of may

Nice, any info from you more knowledgeable chaps its really appreciated! I can stop second guessing the orange hairs now. I'll be buying a usb microscope to check the trichomes so i can properly tell when a plants ready in future. Also the bluelab pens work a treat mate thanks again on the recommendation.

No worries mate. While the hairs can be guide they can be tricky as well. Best of is to be going by the trichomes, but you've got a way to go yet, for sure.

So after a short while of having no internet access at home and being a busy boy in the nice weather I figured I better finish off this Diary!!

So as for the Glueberry, I ended up chopping the Glueberry OG around the 1st of may. Calyxes where super swollen, leaves beginning to all yellow so I panicked & chopped.
Got about 2 - 2.5oz pp from these, i figured that was fair since they were a lot smaller than the Purple Haze plants anyway. Hung them for 72 hours then de-stemmed and jarred it up, I have smoked some and the smoke is delightful! So so much better than what I'm used to, very mellow smoke and extremely potent. Nice earthy aroma with a slight fruity tinge through it. It seems to hit like a sativa then settle in like an indica. I smoked a joint and it got me high straight away but a very nice cerebral head high, at first i thought "this isn't very strong, I've chopped too early, why didn't i just bloody leave it and listen to the lads on the forum " and in my dismay i started to roll a second but by the time the second was rolled the first had properly set in

Next the Purple Haze. I chopped these on the 12th and got around 3oz pp. Same scenario yellowing leaves and swollen calyxes but this time my little loupe and macro camera lens had arrived so i could see the trichomes were cloudy so i chopped ( macro camera lens was useless will be much better with a usb microscope). Its still curing so couldn't give a decent review on how it smokes I have had the obligatory cheeky tester and for a sativa its bloody potent, a little harsh but ill chalk that up to not being cured sufficiently yet.

Since i have been busy I didn't think to take much harvesting pics but here's the purple haze just after being chopped


For a second grow I'm really pleased I've learned a tonne and the smokes great. Just got to keep cracking on from here and work on better patience, know my plants better and work towards higher yielding harvests :D

Finally I'd like to thank everyone for their patience with me and advice, my weed wouldn't be any near as good if it wasn't for you guys and gals so cheers it really is appreciated, especially to Bulls for helping me with info even though he already had his hands full mentoring a grow and to Samwise for keeping me from killing my babies with pk :laugh:

I sure do matey :mrgreen: I had a bunch of autos left so they are currently a few days old and doing well, the last of the purple haze and a couple white widow xxl. Also building a more suitable room for them. After these autos run their course I'm more looking forward to going back to photo beans, it'll be 3 grows down so I think a first attempt at a scrog is in order what you think :D

Ahh Great Stuff mate it does get a bit addictive this growing malarky lol I'm currently vegging my first SCROG grow so i bit of advice mate pop into the Mentor thread and request yourself a mentor that's what i did the Mentor's on here more than know there stuff believe me mate "Canna Gods" stick with them and they should see you hitting PB's mate and take a hell of a lot of the stress off you bit of teamwork makes it all the more enjoying too

Amazing stuf there Fas, 2nd grow and smashed it. Patients is something that comes with grows, i was a nightmare when i first started, in the groom every 5 mins, always looking to change something lol, bit like smokey now .

As with all things keep it simple and it will get better and better. Scrog sounds amazing mate and we got some very good scroggers here to guide you through. Real nice work mate!
