Dyno-Gro chart uses the 500 scale also.
Does your ppm pen also do cf or ec? as this is more accuate than the 500/700 scale. As just looked at Dyno-Gro feeding chart and they using the 700 ppm scale.

500-Scale
To get an EC value, multiply the ppm reading by 2 and divide by 1000. Thus, if your EC is 1: 1 * 1000/2= 500 ppm.

700-scale
To get an EC value, divide the ppm by 700 (1680ppm / 700 = 2.4EC)

10 CF = 1 EC
* CF divided by 10 = EC
* EC multiplied by 10 = CF

The pen does both EC and PPM

If its a 3 numbered ec reading try adding 0. in front of the numbers to give real ec reading so 900ec would be 0.900ec (0.9ec) or if its a 4 numbered reading try adding a point (.) after first number so a 1000ec reading is 1.000ec (1.0ec) Work with the 0.50 ppm scale (USA, Hanna, Milwakee scale) Ncrypta posted up for conversions and it all comes together nicely.

0.50ppm scale = USA
0.64 ppm scale = European
0.70ppm scale = Australian

I use a simuilar ec pen myself. :oik!:

My original reading would then be:
Here is what my tap well water tested at:
PPM 468
EC 0.917

My RO water:
PPM 16
EC 0.040

I have been using 1/2 well water and 1/2 RO water mixed together to water my plants:
PPM 290
EC 0.567

Now here are the numbers after adding the nutes:
6.5 ph
PPM 782
EC 1.565

I usually also add 4 teaspoons of Epsom salts per gallon :
6.5 ph
PPM 1750
EC 3.490

Ok Now I have one more question.
I used pure RO water to water one plant.
I caught the water and tested it.
Here are the numbers of the runoff water:
Runoff Reading:
PPM 2310
EC 4580 (4.580)
Minus RO reading:
PPM 16
EC 40 (0.040)
Total Reading:
PPM 2294
EC 4540 (4.540)

Should I flush my soil? It seems like there are a lot of salts or something in it.
Or just leave it alone?

Yes i would be flushing pots right back and then i`d be then letting soil or coco dry out a wee bit before starting back up, plants won`t last too long if running with that much fert salts in the pots or grow medium before you start running into some sort of problems.

I can`t see yellow writing i use the white background for forum and dont know how to change back now. :)

If those readings are correct your adding nearly 2.0ec in Epsom salts on top of your ferts. Not really called for imo, but feck knows tbh cus its summink ive never really used so i dont know how plants are gonna react or if they react to ES like they would react if feeding a high fert only ec at that strength which would start to burn plants pretty much soon enough. But shits gonna build pretty quickly in your medium running that high ec. I`m not sure tbh but that`s how you read that ec pen man.

I flushed three plants just to see what they do.
With this water here the plants always seem to like the Epsom salts. It prevents them from yellowing.
But, I might try to drop the amount back to 1/2 teaspoon per liter. To see how they react.
I have my head wrapped around this a little better now. At least I can monitor things better with this pen.
Thank You for your reply @2-Scoops
