Cut it out and clean all your fans - pay particular attention to the blades and the wire mesh. Then wipe down your walls of the grow space. The spores stick to any surface. They don't like air flow and low humidity as you know.
Make sure you have good air flow under the canopy as well as above it.
Bring on the chop.
Im gonna go mad with fans on the next run. Everything will be getting bleached and scrubbed. Isue in that tent is i cant get to the sides or back when they are like that, so ill need to have a think about this for future grows in there.
Hey Lordy,ohlordyeah_420 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 8:50 amI feel for you matey. Both zkittles plants I grew had their biggest buds (would be wouldn't it) succumb to mould. I got a new, stronger tower fan and a wet vac to suck up all the run off and I stuck a small dehumidifier (still might get a pricier one if it happens again)
Stay irie.
It was indeed the biggest 2 harybo colas that i lost. Real shame as i love a giant nug when dried to play with. Due to the chance of it spreading through the drying process i also chopped all the big stuff down to smaller nugs. I use a wet vac myself and dehumidifier, but the one i have isnt up to the job, bigger one will make an appearance soon.
Im a believer in this now k, them few weeks of mild weather early on is what done the damage, i had days at over 80% rh. Of last its been 50-60%, while not ideal i dont think that would have caused the damage. Ill have the tent well within decent range on the next one, i only lost 4 tops in the end so not as bad as it coulda been. the fact the exo was effected has given me confidence in the harybo, i was worried about running again given the size of the colas, but it was down to environment.kbag wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 9:01 amIn some fruit crops the fungus enters flowers and colonizes the developing fruit, but does not break out and cause a rot until the fruit begins to ripen and the sugar content rises.
I 100% believe this is what happens when growing cannabis this why you often see it towards the end of flower as the plant produces more sugars.
This is why you can be led into thinking it is spreading quickly it is actually already there feeding on your plants fruits.
It favors high humidity conditions and temps from 0-24C. Also loves dead plant materials so remove from groom as soon as.
Hey DJ,DJ Smokey wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 11:41 amMon the Chop,
Sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do pal but i'm 100% sure you have done the right thing just make sure to get plenty of air moving in the drying chamber scrub down get cleaned up and go again pal. This still looks like a stunning harvest mate back to back success now pal your gaining momentum but the Big question................ which one do you prefer the look and smell of at this point can the Harybo possibly stand up to that Exo we all know and love so much ???
Great run still mate for sure, AO Next ?????????????
Smokes
Everything will get a proper scrub once the tent is empty. Ive gotta say looks wise the harybo ticks the boxes, the orange hairs on it are crazy, really cool to look at, its that hairy that the colour of them had be inspecting many buds for rot, its like a blanket on some buds the orange hairs. Exo you cant beat for smell, its overpowering the harybo atm but the harybo has a really unique smell to it, ive smelt it before but cant put my finger on it. Its got a real oldschool twang to it.
The AO will take a back seat to the harybo, i have 2 of each pheno revegging atm, i think now i know it i will get it flat and do much better off it.

Hey K,
Thats the lot mate, the net is 90cm, it can be deceiving during drying as most use 60cm nets, my last harvest only filled 3 of the racks straight after chop and was my biggest to date. Im not saying this will be, i cant say to much atm coz of the comp but one of the strains is drying/shrinking more than the other.

Some pics of it all drying. God i hate watching it all shrink
Ive set the eco to 20c, humidity is 40-50% out there. Can you believe it, the temps drop to what i was hoping for the last month 2 days after chop and are set to stay there

Some more drying pics. Both strains now on 1 90cm shelf. I had some in jars this morning and it was sat at 70% humidity in the jars. I think by tonight I'll be able to start curing and get the all important weight.
