Re: Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure

Post by Ghost_In_A_Jar »

Final update….
Chopped, dried and curing 👌
Totalled just under 30 all in. Can’t say I’m disappointed by that as the grow was plagued with issues from day 1.
All in I’d say that coco has ultimately beaten soil. The ease of use and speed to be able to solve problems is more valuable than the slight difference in taste.
Yes, it does taste different when grown in soil. No, I would not agree that it’s a better taste, just different.

Can’t say I haven’t learnt a lot during this grow. It’s been awesome! Now just to sit back and enjoy some potent bud 👌

LA Cheese - stinking! Total mind blower of a smoke! Great taste and lasting effects.

Trainwreck - stunning buds. Great taste. Not as strong as the cheese, but still hits pretty hard. More of a head stone than a body feel with this one.

Frosty gelato - hella pokey smoke. Certainly gets your attention after about 4 or 5 from having a vape. Nice slow creeping stone effect on the whole body. Least fav taste of all 3 strains, but still some nice tasting weed with a good kick to it.

Hopefully this diary will help some other lost soul who needs a bit of help getting back to basics.

Thanks to all that have tuned in, commented or otherwise got involved.

You can close this one off when you’re ready @Keeno 👌

Man i`d love it if i could have ever been able to tell difference between organic soil grown bud or hydro grown bud and ive been smoking 30+ years, if its good shit its good shit and if its shitty shit its shit bud is how I've always rolled be that hydro or organic soil grown. Feck knows tbh it must be a taste bud thing. It still sounds some tasty mofo buddage from your description of each though, good stuff man. :Stoned:

I think because I grew with bat shit, it made a pretty big difference to the taste.
The weird thing is that bat poop absolutely honks like the worst thing on earth when it’s just bat poop, but let a cannabis plant have a bit to eat and it turns it into some dead tasty smokage 😂😂

The difference is that in this lot, I deffo can’t taste the bat shit 😁 otherwise I’d completely agree…. Good bud is good bud 😁

Or….. I’ve gone completely mad…..

Either way I’m happy 😂

Yes i read bat shit is the one for taste and its also dependent on what bats eat ie: fruit bats or bug eating bats etc.

So are you gonna stick it out with coco Ghost ?

I had the plagron stuff, so it's a mix of bat and sea bird poop.... I have no idea what they ate lol

I won't go back to soil again now. Coco is nice to grow in and easy to keep on top of. I loved growing in soil and wouldn't knock it, but for me and my needs...coco ticks all the boxes.
