Ghost_In _A_Jars's Multi Strain Coco Adventure

Post by Keeno »

@Ghost_In_A_Jar will be having a go at coco in a Wilma system for the first time. Ill be metoring but looking at Ghosts previous grow Ill be more following with a few tips.

Kit and nutrients for this grow:

5l of a and b for coco
Calmag
Rhizotonic
Canazym
Boost
Pk 13/14
Dynmyco
Rock resinator
Drip clean
Mighty cx pk 20/22
4x4 tent
2 x scrog nets 4x4
70x70 prop tent.
ISH 530 eclipse BR
190w Dutch Passion LED
18l pots (lots)
Coco +
2 x 4" x 300 Filters
1 x ram fan 6”
1 x maxi oscillating 20w fan
1 x 30w monkey fan
Wilma xxl 8x18l system (115x115cm)
Small wavemaker pump (for water movement in the sump)
Digital 24h x 1min timers.
Analog timers 24hx15m (possibly 2)
20lt mixing bucket..... Air bubbler

@Ghost_In_A_Jar certainly hasn't cut any corners with kit of nutrients. This should be a very cool grow.

Atm the strains are being decided, a good few seeds are above ground and some very nice strrains. Ghost will be picking the strongest from the bunch.

As these are seedlings in coco I've advised a feed of 0.25ml Canna Coco A and B base nutrients, 1ml per liter Canna Rhizotonic per liter, PH set to 5.6.

Ghost can you start making notes of what the different amounts of feed at up to in EC, please. I've not used EC for some time but its good practice to know what you are getting from the various amounts of feed being mixed.

Lets have it Ghost :ak:

Thanks @Keeno ,hopefully we’ll get some good results from this little lot!
I’ve got some Epsom salts as well (as suggested).
Started with seeds as below…
3 x Frosty Gelato (from GR420 shop)
5x Trainwreck from Green House Seeds
5x LA Cheese from Buddha Seeds

All have show decent tap roots and are now in their initial pots.
I’ve watered with .25m/l of canna coco a+b and 1m/l of rhizo to kick them off.

Looking at the water retention in the coco, I expect it’ll be a few days before they need anything else.

Ec on normal tap water was 226. I’ve no idea if that’s good or bad, but I then forgot to measure it afterwards. Ph’d to 5.6

I’ll update again when we have some decent movement on the seedlings. ImageImageImageImageImage

Quick update…
Got some early risers looking like they want their spot in the tent.
The race is on….
Don’t really want any more than 5 to end up with, so these will have a little bit of time to show what they are made of before getting thinned out.

looking good @Ghost_In_A_Jar. keep feed where it is, No need to water more than needd at this point. the seedlings will want some room to establish below the surface. this is the only time you can over water in coco really.

when you knock up feed first do ph, them the other bits. You got that 20l bucket there, the feed you are using will last a few days so make life easier and knock up 10 litres. You will need to check ph daily but after day 2 it should be stable.

I’ve been keeping a bit of standing water in case they need anything, but at this point you’re right… they just need a bit of time to get going. Staying pretty moist at the moment.
Will get a mix going a refresh it every couple of days.
Will it last any longer if it has air bubbling through it?

tbh veg feed can last up to 5-6 with a bubbler.

I'll be around around 10an if that's good for you for zoom
