Garden update - Day 35 of flower

I figure to be just about halfway through flower now. Things are doing well. I started to see a small amount of tip burn on two of the plants so I backed off the base nutrients slightly. I was feeding at 1.6 EC and now I am at 1.5. Environment is as good as I can get it. Lights on temps are 78-80F and rh is 50-55%. Lights off I have 74-75F and 50-55% rh.

The Rucu Cucu has a few lower branches that were having a hard time holding themselves up so I used some silicone coated wire to hold them. Honestly, if I hadn't lost 2 of my 5 plants these lower branches would have been removed. But if I can get another good bud off each then hooray.

One thing that stands out is the size of the pistils on the Rucu Cucu. They quite large, in diameter, compared to the others. In fact I've never had a plant with such thick pistils. Probably means nothing, just an observation.

The other thing I have noticed is the difference in node spacing between the Rucu Cucu (60mm) and the Bruce Banner (135mm). I know they are different strains but it's interesting to see the wide variations in the strains.

Weekly update - Day 43 of flower

Nothing much going on in the grow. I'm keeping the environment steady and the buds are filling in. The Rucu Cucu showed some tip and edge burn so I've backed off the feed to 1.2 EC. When I open the tent it is quite pungent. Definitely a funky, sweet/sour aroma. Hoping that carries over to the cured product but I have been fooled before. LOL

I'm working on plans for my next run. I'm adding a 30 amp circuit to the lung room so I can run an AC unit. This will allow me to grow through the summer instead of waiting out the heat. I'm going to lose the tower fan in favor of another AC Infinity clip on. I think I can get enough circulation and not beat the plants up with wind.

Garden Update - Day 49 of flower

Thought for today:

Japanese proverb “Nana korobi ya oki” which translated means ‘Fall down seven times, get up eight’.

Things are pretty much on autopilot lately. Feed every other day and not much else. Figuring these will all handle 10 weeks or maybe a little more my plan is to stop the Big Bud (PK) after week 8 and do one week of Overdrive (Ripener), then flush with water and bacillus until done.

Weekly update - Day 56

Did last feed with same mixture. I will stop the PK additive and use ripener for the next week. Straight water after that. I've started checking trichomes and I am just starting to see cloudy on all of the plants. Looks like I'm on track for another 2 - 3 weeks.

I'm already getting jazzed about my next run. I've purchased a 14,000 BTU portable air conditioner for the lung room. So I should be able to grow through the summer months now.
