Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
Day 43 of flower (end of week 6)
Things are pretty much on cruise control. Mostly no changes in nutrients or environment (see below). Feeding every other day until I get some runoff on each container. Buds are filling in nicely. The grow is starting to get fragrant. My first impression when I get a smell is a refuse container at a Farmer's Market. Definitely over-ripe, pushing rotting, fruit.
Had one hiccup this week. A person (who shall not be named) living in my domicile decided that they were cold and should take it upon themselves to fiddle with the central heat & air thermostat.
I noticed it was getting a little warm. Turned the AC back on and checked my tent. It was almost 86 degrees (30 C). The Lemon Jeffery upper leaves got a little crisp and curled. I thought this was strange that the Lemon Jeffery was the only plant really affected. I say that because the breeder said that this strain is particularly resistant to heat or light stress. The only thing I could think of is that maybe there is a warm spot in that section of the tent. So to be safe I adjusted one of the computer type fans, that are above the lights, to blow air into that area. Nothing fatal just a bump in the road.

Day 49 of Flower (end of week 7)
Not much has changed. Temps, humidity and feed are all the same. I did lower wattage of lights from 400 to 350 to lower the temps slightly. I have added a few yo-yos to hold branches that are starting to sag. I'm sure these next three weeks will have more to come.

Re: Grumpy Toad's Fall Fruity Fiasco
Grow update day 57 (end of week 8)
I lowered the wattage on lights to total of 300 watts. Temps kept climbing to 81-82F. I'm now holding 79-80 F. Stopped using Big Bud and started adding Overdrive. Still hitting 1.1 EC and 6.1 ph. Starting to see trichomes changing to cloudy on all plants. The Midnight Moonlight and Orange Runtz Cake are ahead of the other plants. I'm hoping to take them down all at the same time but I have a second tent to hang in if I need to chop on different dates.
I'm glad I have a good carbon filter because these are starting to get very fragrant.

Never have I ever grown in a hempy bucket. Seen many do it but have yet to try it myself. Love the hydro side of growing. Beautiful grow ya have going here.
